Time future in the time past

FLUID GROUND. Across the Black Sea on Board of a Cargo Ship

On Thursday, July 21, a group of 13 artists, curators, theoreticians and cultural activists from eight different countries went for four days on board of a cargo ship, connecting the two Black Sea ports of Varna (Bulgaria) and Batumi (Georgia). The program started on July, 20 with a presentation of the project in Varna. On board it included lectures, presentations and discussions, real-time interventions and documentation. more»

"Atlantis 11" at the Venice Biennale 2011

- Hundreds of art enthusiasts were attracted by the exhibition "Atlantis 11" in Venice. The participating partners in the Atlantis network presented their work under the theme "Power and contemporary art" at the Biennale in Venice from 1st to 5th of June 2011. The Atlantis network was situated in the Collegio Armeno, which also housed the Icelandic and Armenian pavilion. more»

SPACE Residency Lab | Lado Darakvelidze /Georgia

- Presentation of the artist-resident at the SPACE Residency Lab in the framework of the international project HEICO.

Lado Darakhvelidze is a Georgian multimedia artist living in the Netherlands. In his work he deals primarily with the topic of the media and their social and political impact on the public. His residency stay at SPACE Residency Lab is entitled Citizen Journal: Ideal Newspaper. It is apart of an open series realized in many other European countries in which the artist in co-operation with local volunteers conducts a probe into the Slovak internet in terms of the information media and their self-reflection.
